Happy Wedding Wednesday Friends! I’m excited to finally share with you more beautiful content from our wedding day! Let’s start with getting ready. This is such a special time being surrounded by your family and closest friends! My sister, mom and best friend Riss stayed with me the night before in a gorgeous suite at the Hotel Van Zandt in Austin! The staff at the Hotel Van Zandt were incredible and really elevated our overall experience  – side note they also were one of the only luxury hotels in Austin that offered a wedding room block and I highly recommend them! Looking forward to staying there again soon!

I loved these sweet moments with my amazing mom as she helped complete my bridal look with shoes, earrings, bridal sash and my grandmother’s ring! Wearing my grandmother’s ring meant so much to me especially as she wasn’t able to be there because she has Alzheimer’s disease. Wearing her ring made it feel like she was there with us! If you have any family heirlooms I suggest trying to incorporate them into your wedding as this makes things more meaningful and extra special. Now back to my parents, words cannot express the love and gratitude I have for them. They truly made ALL of my wedding dreams come true and helped me become the strong, loving, kind person I am today. Love y’all so much and thank you for setting such a strong and loving example of marriage for us girls!

Getting Wedding Ready
Right before our ceremony walk through (we used one of the smaller conferences room at the hotel) I had all of my bridesmaids come upstairs and open their gift bags complete with sparkly drop earrings, a heartfelt card and soft, feminine, floral bridesmaids robes. You can shop the content of the bags by clicking and scrolling through the images below:

Barbara, being the amazing sister and best friend that she is, planned out the most incredible breakfast! She worked with my aunt and dad to Whole Foods and Easy Tiger for the most delicious pastries! This definitely helped jumpstart our morning! We also ordered coffee and breakfast tacos from Hotel Van Zandt’s little cafe downstairs (delish)! I stuck with mostly fruit, eggs and coffee with lots of water to keep bloating to a minimum! Also, I wanted to stay hydrated knowing the mimosas were soon to follow! #PopFizzClink

VowsHoneymoon Hat

It was such a sweet morning and I even found some quiet time to finish writing my vows to Chris (last minute I know!). Since we didn’t want to do a first look we had our moms swap out our vows while we were getting ready so we could read each other’s before the wedding. I LOVED this part! Chris also bought me this ‘Good Vibes Only’ floppy hat, similar here, for our honeymoon in Cabo along with these fun shades! So sweet!

Honeymoon Gifts

Soon after, our hair and makeup team arrived, shout out to Erica Rae and Nisa Nicole! It was great having them do everyone’s hair and makeup right there in the suite. The suite also had a lot of natural light which made for better makeup application and pictures! We toasted to the day with mimosas in hand and the room was filled with lots of laughter, hugs, kisses, family, the best of friends, and happy tears.

When it came time to go ahead and put my dress on I remember the most amazing feeling of joy and excitement! My photographer Kelly from Mint Photography was there along with Jake my videographer from MoonLit – so grateful they were able to catch these precious moments! Then my Dad came in to let us know all of the guys were already on their way to Villa Del Lago so it was safe for us to head down to catch our ride to the venue too. Seeing the look on my Dad’s face was the best (he’s my hero)! Seriously, the day flies by so really try and be in the moment!

Hope y’all enjoyed a look into one of the best mornings of my life thus far! Thanks again for reading and stay tuned for a lot more wedding content coming your way!
